How the rounds work

Four rounds (Round 1–4) for Fall 2027, then Rolling Admissions after April 15, 2027, with notification before program start.

International applicants

International applicants must submit official English proficiency scores (TOEFL iBT, IELTS Academic, GATEWAY English or Duolingo) unless granted an exemption, requested in the application portal and reviewed by the Office of the Provost. Transcripts in the original language and English translation; credential evaluations such as WES or ECE are not required. Graduates of non-US institutions whose transcript does not show the degree awarded and date of conferral must bring their diploma, diploma book or other equivalent document with them to St. Louis and, before classes start, bring their transcript to Olin Graduate Programs Admission for visual verification. The program is STEM designated.

Accepted tests: TOEFL iBT, IELTS Academic, GATEWAY English (495), Duolingo (125).

    TOEFL iBT (incl. Home Edition): International applicants: minimum '5.0 overall (new scale) OR 4.5 ≥ 90 overall (old scale)' as printed. Send through ETS to school code 6929. Scores must be official, valid up to the application deadline (no expired scores) and sent by the application deadline. Accepted tests: TOEFL iBT, IELTS Academic, GATEWAY English (495), Duolingo (125).

    Waiver / exemption: Exemption may be granted for applicants who meet one or more of the exemption criteria on the official exemptions list (Office of the Provost); request it in the application portal, and the Office of the Provost reviews all requests. Provost criteria include citizenship of a listed country (e.g. Canada, India, Nigeria, UK, US); a bachelor's or master's degree earned within the past five years from an institution in a listed country; a bachelor's degree within five years at an English-medium institution in a second list of countries (e.g. Pakistan, Philippines); or two or more years of continuous full-time work experience in the United States within the last five years.
