How the rounds work

Round 1 October 19, Round 2 December 14, Round 3 + International Student Deadline February 1, Round 4 March 31, Domestic Student Deadline June 14. 'All applications received before the specified deadlines above will be reviewed and students will receive an admittance decision before the next deadline. For those submitting between Feb 1st and May 31st, those applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.'

International applicants

International applicants apply by the February 1 'Round 3 + International Student Deadline'; the program manager may be contacted 'for possible extensions to the int'l deadline'. University of Arizona international undergraduates continuing into an Eller graduate program have a final deadline of June 1. TOEFL (85 iBT, or 4.5 on the new 1-6 scale) or IELTS (7, no band below 6) for international applicants; the Graduate College does not accept Duolingo. International applicants calculate their GPA with the Graduate College GPA calculator and upload a screenshot. STEM-designated. The program starts in summer with online background courses; per the Graduate College, 'Summer I-20s will be issued only if both full-time enrollment and funding requirements can be satisfied.'

The MSBA admissions page names only TOEFL/IELTS, so whether the program accepts PTE is unconfirmed.

    TOEFL iBT (minimum 85, or 4.5 on the 1-6 scale): Minimum score of 85 iBT or Home Edition iBT for tests taken before January 21, 2026; minimum overall 4.5 on the TOEFL 1-6 scale for tests taken on or after January 21, 2026. Copies uploaded in the application; TOEFL code 4832. Graduate College: tests must be dated within 2 years of the enrollment term.

    Waiver / exemption: Graduate College: proof of English proficiency is required for international applicants who hold citizenship from a country where English is not an official language. Exempt: citizens of countries where English is an official language; applicants who completed a bachelor's or graduate degree at a regionally accredited U.S. institution or hold a degree from the approved English Proficiency Guide; applicants without a completed degree who have two years of full-time study and 48 upper-division graded undergraduate units or 30 graded graduate units at such an institution (units not older than two years from the term of enrollment). The MSBA admissions page lists the scores under 'Test Scores — For international applicants only'.
