How the rounds work

Rolling admissions: decisions are released on a rolling basis. The application page lists an early application deadline and separate final deadlines for international (non-U.S. citizen) applicants and for U.S. citizens or current Purdue students, all printed without a year (years inferred for 2027 entry: the page carries no past-cycle label). Applicants after the early deadline may still be considered for financial aid, but it is not guaranteed. Applications are reviewed only once all required materials are received.

International applicants

Anyone who is not a U.S. citizen or permanent resident is an international applicant; permanent residents must upload a copy of their green card or be reclassified as international. International applicants pay a $75 fee and have an earlier final deadline than U.S. citizens and current Purdue students. Proof of finances is not submitted with the application; after admission, students work with the Office of International Students and Scholars (ISS) for the I-20/DS-2019. Applicants educated where English is not the native language upload certified transcripts and a certified diploma/degree certificate, each with a certified English translation (a provisional certificate is not accepted). Three-year degrees from India require completion of Part 1 of a university master's degree or a university postgraduate diploma. Beginning August 15, 2026, Indiana law adds review steps for citizens of China (including Hong Kong and Macau), Russia, North Korea, Iran, Venezuela and Cuba. STEM-designated; graduates may be eligible for the STEM OPT extension.

  • OGSPS-listed recruitment events and conferences (standing list)

OGSPS lists these events, each with its condition (e.g. "must visit Purdue recruiter at annual conference and complete contact information card" or "must register for and attend the entire Purdue Graduate Information Session"): American Chemical Society Annual National Conference; American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AICHE); Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minority Students (ABRCMS); Annual Health Physics Society Conference; Annual Society of Toxicology Meeting; Big Ten+ Graduate School Expo; Biomedical Engineering Society Annual Meeting; Discover Purdue; Midwest Graduate School Summit; National Society of Black Engineers National Career Fair; NIH Intramural Training/Education Graduate & Professional Fair; Purdue Engineering Virtual Graduate Showcase; Purdue Fort Wayne Information Session or Recruitment Event; Purdue Graduate Information Session; Purdue Northwest Graduate Showcase; Purdue Northwest Professional Conference Events; Society for Advancement of Chicanos and Native Americans in Science (SACNAS) National Conference; Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers; Society of Women Engineers; Tau Beta Pi National Convention; University Resident Theatre Association (URTA). No dates are listed on this page. "Attending the same recruitment program multiple years qualifies for one application fee waiver total." Start a graduate application and, on its 'Additional Information' page, select the event in the recruitment-program drop-down; eligibility is verified after submission. The Daniels page doesn't say whether it honors event waivers.
