How the rounds work

The admissions page lists four application deadlines with admission decision dates (September 1 / September 20, December 1 / December 20, February 1 / February 20, April 15 / May 5), then 'Rolling'. The deadlines carry no year on that page; the W&M events calendar dates Rounds 2-4 for the Fall 2027 start.

International applicants

Applicants who have not completed a degree in the U.S., not earned a university degree in an English-speaking country, or not lived and worked full-time in an English-speaking country for the past four years must submit TOEFL or IELTS scores (TOEFL 100 iBT / 250 CBT / 600 PBT; IELTS 7); the waiver section says the test is waived if you studied at least four years in an English-speaking country and completed your undergraduate degree during that time. International applicants must have completed the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor's degree. The program is STEM-certified (CIP Code 52.1301) and qualifies for the 24-month OPT-STEM extension (36 months total). International students should budget a one-time $165 New International Student Fee and $85 per semester International Student Service Fee; F-1/J-1 students must show sufficient funding.

Requirements

  • Professional resumeRequired

The application will require a resume to be uploaded. We encourage you to limit your resume to two pages - one-page resumes are preferred. Work experience is not required for admission, but previous work or internship experience in data analytics is considered.

  • Unofficial transcriptsRequired

Applicants must submit an unofficial transcript; unofficial transcripts are sufficient for the initial review and an admission decision. Once admitted, an official transcript from your degree-granting institution is required (sealed envelope signed by the Registrar, or electronically via your institution's vendor); students cannot begin classes without it. Transcripts in other languages must also be submitted in translation. Study abroad/transfer transcripts aren't required if courses and grades appear on the degree-granting transcript. W&M graduates only upload an unofficial transcript.

For those submitting scores, please request that official test scores be forwarded directly to Raymond A. Mason School of Business at William & Mary. You may submit an unofficial GRE or GMAT score report to the Office of Graduate Admissions … or via your application to expedite the processing of your application. However, if required, official test scores must be received prior to admission approval. Test scores are only valid for five years. GRE Institution Code: 1996. GMAT Institution Code: 9DD-X7-77.
