How the rounds work

Priority deadline December 5 (for summer 2027 admission; consideration for all scholarships, including the Dean's Scholarship) and final deadline March 1. 'While applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, early submission does not guarantee an early decision.' Starting in December, applications are processed on an ongoing basis; some are placed on hold until the final March 1st deadline. Applications completed after March 1 are reviewed on a space-available basis. Decisions typically six to eight weeks after the final application date; all applicants should expect a final decision by May 15.

International applicants

International applicants upload extra items to the online application (nothing is mailed): proof of funding for an F-1 visa (plus a simple sponsor statement if the funds are not in your name), an international permanent address, transcripts in the original language and in English translation with proof of degree conferral (proof of enrollment if not yet graduated), and the passport photo/information page. Three-year Bachelor's degrees are accepted for admission review. The program FAQ says proof of funds must be submitted at the time you apply, given the short turnaround before the early-July start; a bank letter promising a loan if admitted can be uploaded. An English language exam score is required (see test rows). MS-DSAI qualifies as a STEM major: graduates typically apply for OPT, and students apply for CPT for their practicum. International applicants are considered for program scholarships automatically.

The school’s official pages say this differently. Here is what each one says — check with the school before you rely on it.

The College of Arts and Sciences How to Apply page lists 'Two Letters of Recommendation' among the items applicants provide; the same page says each graduate program has specific application requirements.
