How the rounds work

Five rounds for Fall 2027. Round 5 (June 9, 2027) is listed as 'Rolling Admissions' with no fixed decision date; Rounds 1-4 each have a 'Decision by' date. Reference letters or test scores received more than 7 days after the submission deadline move the application to the next round's decision date.

International applicants

Round 4 (May 5, 2027) is the final deadline for international applicants; Round 5 (June 9, 2027) is the final deadline for domestic applicants and international students who do not require a new visa to study in the US. English proficiency (TOEFL, IELTS or Duolingo) is required unless a Graduate College exemption applies. Passport and proof of funding are not needed for review but are required if admitted (Declaration and Certification of Finances); the FAQ highly recommends submitting the finance form with the application (I-20 about three weeks sooner). International candidates should check the Graduate College's minimum requirements by country for U.S. bachelor's equivalence. Graduate College application fee waivers are for domestic applicants; international applicants are not eligible unless coming under a valid exchange agreement that has an approved application fee waiver. STEM-designated: up to 36 months of OPT with the STEM extension.
