    Round 5

How the rounds work

Five rounds (Oct 15, 2026 - May 15, 2027). The FAQ says that in some years a rolling, space-available review period may open after the regular rounds (round applicants are prioritized; if it opens, this will be shared on the MSBA Admissions page, which the FAQ links to), and that after Round 3 international applications may be reviewed on a space-available basis.

International applicants

One-year STEM-designated program taught in person in San Francisco; international graduates can qualify for an OPT extension of up to 36 months. TOEFL iBT, IELTS or Duolingo scores are required unless the applicant earned (or will earn) a degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution or from a foreign institution that lists English as the sole language of instruction in the IAU World Higher Education Database. Non-English records must be uploaded with English translations (issuing institution, WES/IERF/ECE, or government-certified translator); admitted applicants must provide original official records within one week of the decision. The deadline list calls Round 4 (March 15, 2027) the priority international deadline, but the FAQ says Round 3 (January 15, 2027) and that after Round 3 international applications may be reviewed on a space-available basis. International students need a U.S.-based co-signer for educational loans. Since the OFAC change of August 24, 2026, UC cannot process applications from people located in, or ordinarily resident in, Iran.
