How the rounds work
Early Application is 'Rolling through October 9, 2026' and Round 5 is 'Rolling through June 25, 2027' (decisions on a rolling basis); Rounds 1–4 have fixed deadlines and decision dates. Applications received after a deadline or missing required components may be considered for the next round. All applicants are automatically considered for merit scholarships.
International applicants
Rounds 1–3 are the recommended submission deadlines for non-U.S. citizens. Transcripts must be in English (certified translation in a signed, sealed envelope if needed); a WES ICAP credential evaluation is optional and can take the place of official transcripts. Proof of degree conferral and graduation date is required. Switching from the full-time to the online program is not available to international students due to visa requirements. STEM-designated.

Select one of three essay options; should not exceed 500 words, double-spaced, 12 pt. font. Written communication skills (grammar, structure, cohesion) are considered along with content. Guidance on use of generative AI is given on the page.

Submit a current CV or resume in month/year format that corresponds to the information submitted on your online application.
Academic records (unofficial transcripts)Required
Upload unofficial copies of transcripts from all institutions attended, whether or not a degree was conferred. Transcripts must show course names, all grades (including transfer and study abroad), cumulative GPA, grading scale, and degree type and conferral. If admitted and enrolled, official transcripts from all degree-conferring institutions are required (sealed envelope, Parchment/National Student Clearinghouse, or registrar email to msbaFT@georgetown.edu).
One letter of recommendation1 letter
A current or former professor attesting to your academic performance or a current or former supervisor speaking to your professional performance. Optionally submit two (one academic and one professional); the committee will not read more than two. Letters from family members are discouraged.
Identify one recommender; submitted electronically via the application system. You may submit the application before the letter arrives, but no final decision is made until it is received.

IELTS Academic: Academic module only. Minimum required score is 7.5. Result must not be more than two years old. Official scores sent electronically from Cambridge (IELTS) to 'Georgetown University Sch of Business- MiM, MA-IBP, MSBA'.
TOEFL iBT: Minimum required score is 100 (original TOEFL iBT scale) or 5 (new TOEFL iBT scale, beginning January 21, 2026). Result must not be more than two years old. Official scores sent directly from ETS to Georgetown University Executive Education Admissions, ETS code 5781, at the time of application. TOEFL iBT Special Home Edition accepted.
Waiver / exemption: Required of applicants who fit the criteria: non-U.S. citizens; non-U.S. permanent residents; applicants who have not obtained a four-year or advanced degree from a university where the only primary medium of instruction was English. Not required if you received a bachelor’s or advanced degree from an accredited institution in the United States or from a university where English is the primary language of instruction, or if your native language is English. Full-Time MSBA: answer both prompts — 'Tell us why you’re excited about studying business analytics.' and 'What drew you to this field, and how do you see it shaping your future career?' Video essay should be 1 minute or less; appear in person. Record on phone or computer, upload to an accessible site (e.g. YouTube, Vimeo, Google Drive, Youku, Tudou) and submit the direct video URL in the online application; keep it accessible for at least five years. Don't put your name in the video title; unlisted YouTube, password-protected Vimeo or shared Google Drive links are fine.
