How the rounds work
'Admissions will be done on a rolling basis up to the early action deadline. Applications submitted after the early action deadline will be reviewed based on space availability through the final deadline.' Fall-start deadlines on the Isenberg pages (no year): Early Action November 1, Priority February 1, Regular June 1, Final August 1 (domestic applicants and international students currently on a visa in the U.S.). The Graduate School program page dates the Fall start deadline August 1, 2027 and calls February 1, 2027 the early action deadline. Applying by Early Action (on-campus only) gives priority for merit-based scholarships; Early Action or Priority gives a $90 application fee reimbursement and guaranteed consideration.
International applicants
Non-native English speakers who are not U.S. citizens or permanent residents submit TOEFL (5 on the new scale for tests from January 2026, or 100 before), IELTS Academic 7, Duolingo 120 or PTE Academic 68 (Isenberg minimums, higher than the Graduate School's; no superscoring), unless a Graduate School waiver condition applies (e.g. a bachelor's or master's degree earned in the U.S. or a listed English-speaking country). The August 1 final deadline applies to domestic applicants and international students currently on a visa in the U.S.; international students are encouraged to apply by the early action deadline to be guaranteed consideration, and the priority deadline gives F-1 students more time for visa processing. A three-year bachelor's degree may be considered with a NACES course-by-course evaluation showing equivalence to a four-year U.S. degree. Both on-campus options (Amherst and Newton) are STEM-designated: 12 months of OPT plus a 24-month STEM extension; the Field Experience concentration supports CPT internships. The I-20 requires proof of funding for a 12-month year; the visa-sponsorship email for fall admits typically comes in March. Graduate assistantships are not available to MSBA students. Tuition is the same for all students regardless of residency.
