How the rounds work
Graduate programs admit students on a 'rolling' basis, meaning that students may still apply after the preferred deadlines. Students requiring an F1 Visa are strongly encouraged to apply by the preferred deadlines to allow time for visa processing; students who apply by the preferred deadlines are given consideration for merit-based scholarships, if eligible. The preferred deadlines are printed without a year.
International applicants
STEM-designated: the M.S. in Business Analytics & Artificial Intelligence (CIP 52.1302) is on Stevens' list of programs designated by the Department of Homeland Security as eligible for the 24-month STEM OPT extension for F-1 students. Students requiring an F1 visa are strongly encouraged to apply by the preferred deadlines to allow time for visa processing; the summer start is for domestic applicants only. English proficiency (TOEFL iBT 4, IELTS 6 or Duolingo 110 minimum) is required unless exempt or waived; scores in the lowest band require English Language Communication (ELC) courses in the first term, and scores in the middle band require an ELC course unless the student passes the Stevens English Communication Proficiency Exam (ECPE) on arrival. Aid to international graduate students (those studying in the U.S. on visas) is limited.
