How the rounds work

Two timelines: Priority Round (application deadline Nov. 1, 2026; decisions Dec. 4, 2026) or Regular Round with rolling admission for those who apply after Nov. 1, 2026, until all remaining seats are filled. Final deadlines: Feb. 15, 2027 (international) and April 1, 2027 (domestic). Seats fill quickly; the class is expected to be finalized by early May.

International applicants

Earlier final deadline for international applicants (Feb. 15, 2027 vs April 1, 2027 for domestic) and a $95 application fee. All non-US citizen applicants (non-resident aliens and permanent residents) must meet NC State Graduate School English proficiency requirements. Applicants applying for or already in F-1/J-1 student status submit a Certificate of Financial Responsibility before their admission status can be finalized. The MSA is a STEM-qualified degree; international graduates are eligible for Optional Practical Training (OPT).
