International applicants
International applicants have the same general requirements as all other applicants. A bachelor's degree or its international equivalent is required before enrolling; a three-year degree meets the requirement. TOEFL iBT or IELTS Academic is required of most applicants whose native language is not English, unless their undergraduate degree is from an institution where English is the primary language of instruction and they studied there in residence for at least three years (no exemption on the basis of an advanced degree). All students begin in the fall term; no spring entry. International students must complete the M.S. in three semesters (not four), after which they may stay a further semester as full-time non-degree students if in good standing. Academic records and letters must be in English or translated. International students are eligible to request a fee waiver. Master's programs are not generally funded.
