International applicants

International applicants whose native language (language spoken from birth) is not English must submit an official TOEFL, IELTS or Duolingo score report (TOEFL or IELTS strongly encouraged); the English proficiency requirement cannot be waived for any reason. Master's programs generally do not offer financial aid. MSAII includes a required summer industry internship; students in programs with required internships can apply for Curricular Practical Training.

    Statement of Purpose. A Statement of Purpose is not a resume. It should discuss your reasons for choosing the MSAII program and indicate your intended career path.

  • Unofficial transcriptsRequired

    Unofficial transcripts from each university you have attended, regardless of whether you received a degree. Transcripts must be uploaded prior to application submission; fall semester grades are not required.

  • Three letters of recommendation3 letters

    Recommenders should know you relatively well and be able to evaluate the quality of your previous work. At least two letters should be from faculty or recent employers; letters that are simply character references will not provide good support.

    Three letters of recommendation. The application allows up to five. Recommenders have until the final deadline to submit.

  • GRERequired

    Required. GRE is required. Institution Code 2074; Department Code 0402. GRE scores will not be accepted if they are more than five years old. If taken more than once, enter your most recent scores.

  • Duolingo English Test, IELTS or TOEFLIf your degree wasn't taught in EnglishRequired

    Duolingo English Test: Required if you are an international applicant and your native language (language spoken from birth) is not English: an official copy of English proficiency score report is required. One of TOEFL, IELTS or Duolingo. We strongly encourage applicants to take either the TOEFL or IELTS; in cases where these are not available it is acceptable to take the Duolingo test. No minimum stated. Request that subscores be included.
