How the rounds work
Four Fall 2027 rounds (Dec. 1, 2026; Feb. 1, 2027; April 1, 2027; July 1, 2027). 'Applications for Fall 2027 admission will be accepted on a rolling basis until July 15, 2027.' All required documents must be on file by each deadline, or the application may be moved to the next round. Decision notifications within three weeks of a completed application; an enrollment deposit is due after admission.
International applicants
Proof of English proficiency is required for students whose native language is not English; W. P. Carey graduate minimum scores may be higher than ASU's. ASU does not accept the TOEFL iBT Home Edition (if taken prior to Jan. 21, 2026), TOEFL iBT Paper Edition or TOEFL Essentials. International transcripts must be submitted in their original language with a literal, complete official English translation (no self-translation; photocopies and notarized transcripts not accepted). Individuals with a three-year undergraduate degree and no additional coursework may qualify. After admission a U.S. visa is required, which includes submitting a graduate financial guarantee. STEM-designated: eligible graduates on student visas can access an OPT extension (up to 36 months in total). Round II (Feb. 1, 2027) is labelled 'International priority' and Round III (April 1, 2027) 'International final'.

The letter should comment on the student's motivation, commitment, achievements, work experience and likely success in the program (Degree Search). The program page asks for an individual who can answer questions about your personal qualities, professional success, career aspirations, and ability to perform in a graduate program.
Degree Search lists 'one letter of recommendation' among the materials applicants are required to submit. The program page asks for 'Recommender(s) contact information': name, affiliation and work email address.

Exemptions by form (after applying): a bachelor's degree or higher from an international institution where English was the only language of instruction; a bachelor's degree or higher from a regionally accredited U.S. college or university; a future ASU bachelor's degree completed before the graduate program; a bachelor's degree or higher from a recognized international institution in a country on the ASU list; at least nine semester hours of graduate coursework with a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher at a regionally accredited U.S. institution or a recognized institution in a listed country; at least 90 semester hours of undergraduate coursework with a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher at a regionally accredited U.S. college or university; or four years of U.S. high school with four years of English courses.

Carey master's FAQ says you do not need an undergraduate degree in business. Individuals who have completed a three-year undergraduate degree with no additional coursework may qualify (program page).
