How the rounds work

'We accept applications on a rolling basis throughout the year, but encourage all prospective students to submit their applications by February 15.'

International applicants

STEM approved: international students may apply for the 24-month STEM OPT extension. English proficiency is required for applicants whose native language is not English (university minimums: TOEFL iBT 79, IELTS 6.5, PTE 55, DET 120, CPE/CAE 185, TOEFL Essentials 8.5, TOEFL ITP Plus 550), with exemptions on the Graduate School website. Students who enroll in the fall semester can start CPT the following summer, but UB 'has paused approval of new CPT requests that are not required for degree completion'.
