How the rounds work
Priority (First-Round Review) deadline January 15 and final deadline March 15 for Fall. 'Priority for admission and merit scholarship will be given in the First-Round Review.' The MS in AI admissions section says 'Applications are reviewed on a space-available basis after the application deadline'; the CS FAQ says applications 'will continue to be reviewed and accepted on a space-available basis after the posted deadline' and 'Admissions decisions are made on a rolling basis starting in December.' Fall admission only: 'we no longer offer spring admissions'.
International applicants
English proficiency: accepted tests are TOEFL (including TOEFL iBT Home Edition), IELTS, Cambridge English Qualifications and Duolingo; the TOEFL ITP is not accepted. Recommended scores: TOEFL 5.0 (new score reports from January 2026) or 100 iBT (no MyBest Scores), IELTS 7.0 overall, Cambridge 185 overall, Duolingo 130 overall. Scores are not needed for citizens of the US (including permanent residents) and listed English-speaking countries, or after a degree / at least two consecutive years of study in a listed country or at an English-medium institution, or two years of residence or post-graduate work in a listed country (employer letter); others may petition for a waiver. Transcripts in a foreign language need a certified English translation. International students on a visa must be full-time unless in their last semester. It is strongly recommended that international applications (with all required credentials) be submitted by January 15. Admitted international students submit an International Student Data form and financial documentation for the visa.

The Computer Science pages don't say who should write them. GRS FAQ: letters 'should be in English and written by faculty members in your proposed field of graduate study who are familiar with American higher education'; 'We typically like to see at least one academic recommendation, especially if you've graduated recently'; 'professional recommenders—such as a supervisor or employer—are also acceptable'; 'Because each program has its own guidelines, we encourage you to review the specific requirements for the department you're applying to.'
Two recommendation letters, submitted by recommenders through the online recommendation system (emailed or faxed letters are not accepted).

GRS FAQ: 'The GMAT is not an acceptable substitute.' (for the GRE). The CS pages don't mention the GMAT.
